Step by step

  1. 1

Place a paper filter in the cap, rinse it, and secure the cap. Put the chamber upright on a sturdy mug. Do not invert it.

  2. 2

Add 15 g of medium-fine coffee. Add 240 g of water around 200°F and stir gently to wet the grounds.

  3. 3

Carefully insert the plunger slightly to reduce dripping. Let the coffee steep for about 90 seconds.

  4. 4

Press gently for about 30 seconds, keeping the mug and brewer stable. Stop if you encounter unusual resistance.

Taste, adjust, repeat

This is a starting recipe, not the only AeroPress method. Adjust grind or steep time to your taste; avoid pushing hard on the plunger.
