Daniel Zimmerman
Roaster & Owner
Daniel Zimmerman, roaster and owner of Falconer Coffee, moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 2013 for graduate degrees in English literature, and he never left. He has a PhD in Shakespearean drama and has taught students from middle schoolers to college seniors. He and his wife Kara have four children—Abel, Lucy, Isaac, and Ivy.
Apart from his scholarship, Daniel starts businesses that create dignifying work, pay just wages to workers, and which craft real, quality goods that bless both the humans who make them and those who consume or use them. These businesses seek more than profit; they seek the common good.
The most beautiful crafts harness wild things to serve human flourishing. Falconer Coffee aspires to this ideal.
